Program activities
The Program Committee of the Guild strives to present a variety of activities during the Guild Year.
The speakers for the general meetings are chosen to represent different interests and techniques.
During the 2010/11 Guild year we welcomed Judy Gascho-Jutzi - fibre artist, June Chambers – antique textiles, Elaine Quehl – quilt artist, Anita Zobans – Superior treads educator, and Pam Matthews – pattern designer.
We also like to highlight a guild member, and in 2011 Cheryl Westlake of Alice’s Quilt Shop shared her quilting journey through a trunk show.
At least one meeting a year emphasizes "hands on" block production. Using a 9 patch and a 9 patch with corner triangles, enough blocks were produced in 2011 to create 5 crib sized quilts for community projects.
Please review the list on the right for our 2011/12 plans.
